Important Information About 2017 Fundraising

Dear Rose Run Participant,


Last Friday, I contacted team captains to notify them of technical difficulties with the fundraising function on the Active registration site used for The Rose Run. Although we originally thought the technical difficulties were temporary, we have now learned that Active’s fundraising function has been permanently disabled. (Please note that funds already raised on the Active website have not impacted and will be received by The Rose Run.)


We work tirelessly to raise money on behalf of the Disney Family Cancer Center, and to find out this last week before the event that our main source for raising donations beyond registrations has been disabled is very, very disappointing. In the true spirit of our run inspiration, Rose Hunt a breast cancer warrior, we will not give up. We will not be deterred from our mission to raise much needed funds for patient care services at the Disney Family Cancer Center. Here is what you can do to continue raising money.


Encourage friends and family to register to participate in The Rose Run and Kids’ Fun Run: Registration has not been impacted and participants can still register and pay registration fees as they normally would on our Active website.


Encourage donations on our Crowdwise website. There are two ways you can use Crowdwise to make a donation:
·      Provide this link to friends and family who want to make a donation on your behalf:  www.crowdrise.com/roserunla2017
After entering the donation amount, donors can enter your name in the comment field to ensure you are credited with the donation. 


·      Go to The Rose Run Crowdrise page at www.crowdrise.com/roserunla2017 and register for your own fundraising page. Click "Join Team" under the Donate Now button. Registration is fast and easy; you can even register through using your Facebook account. Once registered as a fundraiser, you can send direct links to your fundraising page to friends and family.


If you would prefer to bypass technology all together, those who would like to donate to the event can give you a check payable to The Rose Run and add your name to the memo line. Checks can be mailed to:
